Laura Cady works as the Early Literacy Specialist at Nebraska Children in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Education. She concentrates on sharing high quality culturally representative literacy materials that support multilingual learners and providing early childhood professional learning opportunities.

Laura was a bilingual elementary teacher for over 10 years and has worked closely with families from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Laura has lived, studied, and taught in the US, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Colombia, where she experienced firsthand the challenges that come with learning a second language while living in a foreign country. She has a passion for using language and literacy as a bridge to create meaningful connections with Nebraska families.
