For students with disabilities, 504 Plans and Individualized Education Programs drive learning by targeting skills and supports that facilitate academic and social success during the school years. Thus, they lay the foundation for earning and living later in life. In this session, school leaders will differentiate between both types of educational plans, comprehend transition planning responsibilities, and review district requirements in implementation as defined in Section 504, IDEA, and NDE Rule 51. This session is intended for early-career administrators that want to improve their knowledge about supporting students with disabilities.
