Recent 2021-2022 Nebraska Special Educator shortage data identified that over 400 special education teachers left their districts. Each teacher who leaves a district takes knowledge, skills and abilities with them. Student learning can be negatively impacted by teacher dissatisfaction with earning and living. Join the Get SET Nebraska team to learn how our one-year special education retention program impacted pilot districts and their special education teachers.
